Say Yeah~In an Effie Mode Today : Reposting

I just felt like reposting today:Say Yeah… say yeah

By Jacquelyn Hughes Mooney©11

Say yeah...
Say yeah...
I say yeah.
Go down Moses…
Tell Pharaoh that I'm in an Effie mode today...
This is a hand on the hip, gutbucket groan….
That can only come from someone who knows...
Who’s been there more then on time?
In a scene where she be on familiar terms with stuff…
And stuffed people who distinguish themselves with nothing other then
Bits & pieces
(It is not yet their time yet)…
But knows experiences trumps assumptions
And one does not know
But knows...
When it is time to say yeah...
Say yeah
Say yeah.
To do what is necessary
To see what's possible
And then pull off the impossible
When one must say yeah...
Say yeah...
Say yeah...

I am taking a break this minute from doing & pushing, knocking on doors literally & figuratively.
And for whatever reason why, the song from the Broadway and the movie rendition of Dreamgirls popped in my head.

That determination, angst, anger clear, single-minded ferociousness so wonderfully done by both Jennifer Holiday (the original Effie) and Jennifer Hudson (movie version of Effie) said it all for me.

There's a point when you simply have to have that gut bucket hand on the hip un-huh yeah girl  soulfull-ness with no shame or concern for how anyone or anything view it. Or what they are doing.  It just need to be said or done.

"Say whatcha wanna, I'm not gonna leave ya..."

"I just wanna be free.."

Singer India Arie
Step up or step back, or get otta my way...

Say yeah... Say yeah"...

For the record we can apply that to what each and every one of us are doing here, or any "here" that you are working on.

"Start by doing what is necessary, then by what's possible, & suddenly you are doing the impossible"

"Say yeah... say yeah"...

They Gonna Anyway...

Let people do or say whatever they want.  My life now  exactly where it needs to be.  I know what ever I do someone will have something they must feel has to corrected. People move in overdrive way too often without knowing all the facts to readjust you even if you did not think you needed to be readjusted.

So this is my "Oh well" statement...

Anyway
By iiammoon©11

They are gonna laugh anyway...
So I might as well go out and play
With all the life & vigor I can display

For...

They are going to laugh anyway...
Roll their eyes..
Smirk...
Wave their hands to & fro

So...
Then I might as well sing loudly
That song no matter how off key
Because that song IS for me...

'Cause...

They gonna laugh anyway...
Since I can't seem "to act my age"
I might as well jump in, Jimmy Choo's and all...
in a puddle as muddy & messy as it wants to be..
It will wash off once I finish...
After I had a ball.
Because they are gonna laugh anyway...

Way to be Okay~Great Expectation or Greater Appreciation...

Expect nothing;Appreciate everything"~Unknown

Right off the bat I can say I appreciate this quote on appreciation.

I appreciate organic tomatoes:

I appreciate warmth when it is too cold

And coolness when it is too hot.

I appreciate clean water:

And the availability to drink it freely:

I appreciate laughter & Bugs Bunny:

Finding humor when their is so much sadness
And I appreciate being able to hear the laughter.

I appreciate feeling deeply when there are many are too numb to feel at all.

I appreciate being 60 when far too many do not get out of childhood, adolescent or experience young adulthood.

I appreciate grandeur

And awesome-ness even at night:

I appreciate the arts in all its genres,

Dance:

*Music in all its forms:

*Visual:

Literature:

I appreciate love both small & large

And seasoned with cayenne:

In stolen moments:

I appreciate purple sofas:

And red lipstick:

And great perfume:

**Beautiful flowers, gardens and natural spaces:

I appreciate friendships long ones and short ones:

I even appreciate those who show who they are, so I know not to be that way:

I appreciate even more who show kindness so I can be that way more:

I expect to continue to do the same in 2011.
